SCAA Murrayfield Stadium Takeover 2026 - Abseil
Elizabeth Horsburgh (aka Rizzy Lizzy)
My Story
We do all our own stunts!
On Saturday 16 May 2026, a small squad from Peebles Rugby’s women and girls team - the Rebelles and Riots - will be stepping off the iconic Murrayfield Stadium West Stand roof and freefall‑abseiling 98 feet down to the pitchside.
We’re doing it for a cause that matters deeply to communities like ours: Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).
Why SCAA?
SCAA is Scotland’s only charity‑funded air ambulance service. They rely entirely on public support to keep flying.
Their mission is simple and powerful: to ensure that no one in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help can't get there in time.
In many cases, receiving medical care within the first hour - the "Golden Hour" - is the difference between life and death
As part of Scotland’s emergency response network, and covering over 30,000 square miles, SCAA plays a crucial role in responding to life-threatening accidents and time-critical medical emergencies. Their highly skilled and experienced crew of paramedics and pilots operate from two helicopter air ambulances and two rapid response vehicles from bases in Perth and Aberdeen.
Whether in the city or a rural area, SCAA’s air ambulance service is there when people need it most, airlifting patients to hospital to give them the best chance of survival or quality of recovery.
Every donation helps keep their helicopters in the air and their crews saving lives.
My fundraising goal
I’m aiming to raise £250, and every pound genuinely makes a difference. If you’re able to support, I’d be so grateful.
